The TauronLiga.com site—which we built and developed as a digital platform dedicated to providing comprehensive coverage and analytical perspectives on the professional volleyball landscape, with a specific focus on the senior women's Tauron Liga competition—will remain unchanged despite fundamental changes at TAURON regarding its expanded partnership with the Polish Volleyball League. This is a historic agreement extending through 2030.
As announced on the Tauron Liga platform, the Polish Volleyball League and TAURON Polska Energia have signed a new sponsorship agreement. This represents the largest collaboration to date between the two partners, encompassing all major volleyball league competitions in Poland; TAURON will secure naming rights for—among other things—the four most important volleyball leagues in the country. The agreement will remain in effect at least until the end of the 2029/2030 season.
This new agreement marks the next phase of a collaboration that began in 2020. Under this deal, TAURON will significantly increase its involvement in the development of Polish volleyball leagues, becoming a key partner for all major competitions organized by the Polish Volleyball League. Currently, Polish leagues rank among the strongest and most prestigious in the world, attracting global volleyball stars, breaking arena attendance records, and consistently growing television viewership. This serves as further proof that the Polish Volleyball League's consistently implemented development strategy is yielding tangible results.
Starting with the 2026/2027 season, the following leagues will operate under the TAURON brand:
- TAURON Liga (formerly PlusLiga, the top men's league),
- TAURON Liga Kobiet (formerly TAURON Liga, the top women's league),
- TAURON 1. Liga (formerly PLS 1. Liga, the second-tier men's league), and
- TAURON 1. Liga Kobiet (formerly 1. Liga Kobiet, the second-tier women's league).
As has been the case since 2020, the national cup competitions will be known as the TAURON Polish Men's Cup and the TAURON Polish Women's Cup. Additionally, TAURON Polska Energia will serve as the Strategic Sponsor of the AL-KO Polish Women's Super Cup and the AL-KO Polish Men's Super Cup.
TAURON Polska Energia SA’s decision to expand its partnership with the Polish Volleyball League represents a significant commitment for the company—one that aligns naturally with its corporate values. Volleyball is a team sport, and success relies on cooperation and the pursuit of shared goals. It embodies the ultimate expression of teamwork, a principle that also underpins the organization's daily operations. Tauron recognizes that the sport has long held a special place in the hearts of the Polish people and that the company’s customers are among its loyal fans. The company aims to remain close to them; consequently, the premier national league competitions for both women and men—events that have provided fans with unforgettable experiences for years—will continue to be held under the TAURON banner.
This new agreement marks the most extensive presence of a single partner across all professional volleyball leagues in Poland.
"When we launched our partnership with TAURON Polska Energia six years ago, we believed that together we could build a project that would serve as a model for Polish sports as a whole. Today, we can say that this vision has become a reality. This new agreement is not merely a sign of our partner's confidence; above all, it confirms that the Polish Volleyball League is at the pinnacle of its history. Our arenas are packed with fans, viewership numbers rise season after season, and the Polish league has become a magnet for the world's best players. Bringing the women's league under the same organizational umbrella and having TAURON sponsor all top-tier league competitions creates a cohesive, robust, and highly compelling product." "This is another major step in the development of Polish league volleyball, and I am confident that the best years are still ahead of us," said Artur Popko, President of the Management Board of Polska Liga Siatkówki SA.
TAURON, one of Poland's largest companies, has long been among the most active sponsors of Polish sports. The company has supported professional volleyball since 2020 and, in recent years, has significantly expanded its involvement in ice hockey, among other sports. TAURON is also the title sponsor of one of the most important arenas for Polish volleyball, TAURON Arena Kraków, as well as TAURON Park Śląski. TAURON supports youth sports and various social initiatives that promote physical activity and the values of fair play. The company also sponsors several sports clubs.
Just before the start of the new season, a press conference will be held to introduce the title sponsor and the new version of the competition. During the event, details regarding the partnership, as well as branding and communication elements related to the upcoming season, will be presented. The date and location of the event will be announced separately.
For those of you who rely on our digital platform—which is dedicated to providing comprehensive coverage and analytical insights into the professional volleyball landscape—there is no need to worry. The site we have built and developed will continue to focus its data on the Tauron Senior Women's League competition. The Tauron Senior Women's League remains centered at TauronLiga.com, and this will not change despite TAURON expanding its partnerships with various Polish volleyball leagues.
Thank you for your attention and cooperation, our loyal visitors!
